hi everyone,

i've started making ca phe sua da at home but i've run into an issue where it doesn't taste as "đặc" as the ones i get from banh mi shops. i wouldn't say it's watery, since the coffee flavor and sweetness is still there, but it's missing the oomph to it. here's a brief description of how i've been brewing it:

  1. pour a heaping spoonful (about 1.5-2 tablespoons) of cafe du monde coffee grounds into the shaft of the phin
  2. screw on the filter until i cannot tighten it any further
  3. pour a little hot water into the phin and give the coffee 1-2 minutes to bloom
  4. fill the rest of the phin with water and let the coffee finish brewing
  5. after about 5 minutes the coffee is done, so add 1-2 tablespoons of condensed milk
  6. add ice

if anyone could give me some advice on what i can do to make my ca phe sua da taste more like the ones being sold at the shops, i would appreciate it!
