Optus eSIM issue (Australia) help
Hi there, I apologise if this is the incorrect forum to post this.
I’m using an iPhone 15 and have never used an eSIM before. I bought the iPhone 17 Pro Max and was about to start the set up process, so on my iPhone 15, I went into the settings, mobile and clicked convert physical SIM card to eSIM (I’ve never used an eSIM before but had read it’s a good idea to switch) and before I did this, contacted Apple who said to do the conversion on my old device then I could just transfer it over during the set up of my new device.
Ever since initiating the physical to eSIM process, it has been stuck on activating and I have no phone service as it says the conversion on my physical sim is complete and I can remove it from the tray, but it’s just stuck on ‘activating’
I’ve tried multiple trouble shooting steps, should I have not done this on my old device and only done it during the set up? Should I have gone through my Optus app to convert it? I was under the impression I could convert the physical sim to eSIM through my iPhone settings and all would be good to go.
Thanks for your help.
