internet pet peeves

there’s some things online that just really bring out my inner “ackshually ☝️🤓” like a compulsion. usually a common misconception that drives me crazy. today it’s the old “chemical imbalance” theory of depression being treated as gospel when I thought we had moved on from that as a society but I guess not…. do y’all have any common misconceptions that make your eye twitch?

girl who is going to be okay

my php had to drop me bc insurance, in process of getting outpatient care but no one answers their phones, so I’m relying a lot on CoDA meetings/literature/work books, and getting up early and going to bed early, and meditating / praying, yoga. reading, surrendering to some sort of higher power….it’s working so far. there are a lot of obstacles and setbacks all the time but I have to stop expecting that there ever won’t be.

what sort of dreams do you have?

I know people usually find dream retelling to be boring but discussing the genre or whatever of dreams is really interesting to me. A coworker of mine always has abstract neon colored dreams. I almost always have realistic stressful dreams, very often in my dreams I’m so exhausted that I’m collapsing while trying to do something I need to do or arguing with my mother. I feel so boring ! I hear about sci-fi dreams or fantasy worlds. Dreams where you see loved ones you’ve lost. Once there was suddenly a narrator in a dream I had who gave some background information on a dream character I was talking to. Some people dream in black and white. Is it first person or third for you? I feel like mine go between the two. How do you dream?
