So gay

So gay

My wife and I play all major quests together side by side so we can see both Aether and Lumine. The differences between Jeht's actions with Lumine vs Aether is always so satisfying and super gay. Look at where her hand is on Lumine vs Aether! 💕 The little smile. With Aether she's basically dodging him and has her other hand as far away from his body as she could get it. 😅 Haters will say they're all straight.

Why do "i" sounds sometimes change?

Sometimes I hear people say a word that has an "i" vowel with a "u" sound. I think it might always be "ing" sounds, but regardless it is only some of the time that the vowel sound changes.

For example, in Chén Qíng Lìng / 陈情令, Wei Ying is occasionally called "Wei Yung," especially in moments of high emotion. Jin Ling is sometimes called what sounds like "Jin Liang."

In Duolingo pronunciation, 电影 sounds more like "dian yung."

Looking this up has not been fruitful. 😅 Can anyone help me understand?

ETA: I appreciate those who have answered already, however I am not asking for help with what pinyin is correct or which pronunciation is correct. I'm asking why sometimes the same person will make the "ying" sound at some points and the "yung" at other points. Same person, saying the same name, but with a different sound without any discernable reason for the change. I used "i" and "u" because I'm spelling it out phonetically in English.
