2.5 months on accutane results

This is my 2,5 months on Accutane 20 mg a day, 53 kg. My course is 8 months for now with a potential increase if i still have acne by the end of it. I have not purged, everything started clearing up from the day one. I did not have any new breakouts on my face since i started and maybe 1-2 on my back. My main problem was closed comedones and cysts. I do have side effects: bloody nose, itchiness if I don’t moisturize enough, joint pain in my knees, shoulders, ankles. Occasionally i have perioral dermatitis under my nose from dryness, but it goes away as soon as i double moisturize. Im terrified getting off the pill as my skin never looked so clear since i was 15.

7 days after starting accutane for closed comedones

Just a little update. 7 days after starting 20 mg accutane. Ive had this skin texture and comedones since i was 14, and nothing topical ever helped to flatten out my forehead as Acc. I know its too early to celebrate but im just shocked as i haven’t seen my forehead being this good since before puberty (im 25 now). I hope it will flatten out completely by the end of the treatment

6 days in, is this texture normal?

Hi started taking accutane 20 mg 6 days ago and now i have this weird texture on my face, its like my pores become more visible and textured. Will that go away or is it a normal clear skin state? I just don’t remember those pores being that visible before like million little dots all over

Accutane for skin texture, blackheads and comedones

Hi I’ve struggled with cystic acne and closed comedones for since i was 15, (25 now) after trying all topicals (adapalene, azelaic acid, benzoyl peroxide, antibiotics) my derm put me on izotretinoin (accutane) 20mg a day. Has anyone had any success stories where it helped them to get rid of CC. They are not red, not even white heads, but they create this texture which looks bad under makeup and in general i don’t like the way it looks under different lighting? If it makes sense. I just want my forehead to be flat, i understand i also got some scaring which cant be fixed by accutane, but will it help to just flatten out my skin texture ? Also the blackheads all around my face, would they turn into actual pimples or just disappear?
