Visiting Paris - late July vs late August?
Hi everyone
I’m currently planning a trip to Paris and am trying to decide between two specific windows. I’m hoping for some local or frequent visitor perspective on the "vibe" of the city during these two specific times.
My two options are:
July 28 – August 4
August 26 – September 3
I am really set on Paris, but I have two main priorities:
The "Local" Vibe: I want to feel the energy of the city and meet people, rather than just being in a "tourist bubble." I’ve read that many Parisians leave for their own vacations in early August.
Summer Atmosphere: I want to experience the classic summer in Paris (warm weather, outdoor dining, lively terraces).
Between these two dates, which would you recommend for getting that authentic, lively, "Parisian" atmosphere? And is "la rentrée" noticeably better, or does it just feel like everyone is stressed about work/school starting?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
