Hello everyone. I know this is maybe an impossible ask but please be kind and give me your takes for best case ideas?

My back yard has a large slope that we just had cleared a couple weeks back because the brush had gotten dry and was becoming a fire hazard. My original plan was to plant natives there (coyote brush / creeping sage) in the fall when it’s less hot. However, last minute my brother has asked to have his wedding in our backyard! It will be in about a month.

Anything I can plant there now that will make the hill look slightly less sad and naked? Any native plants known for growing really really fast- like in 2-4 weeks fast 😅

Any advice or creative thinking highly appreciated.

So my friend had this cutie hanging around her office for the past few weeks and she had been feeding her. She asked for someone to take her in since she can’t keep a cat herself. Based on its size we all thought it was like a 6-8 month old youngster but when we took her to the vet, they said she could be anywhere from 2-5 years old based on her teeth! She also has an extra (thumb?) on each paw with weird claw growth from each. One has a double claw and the other had a claw that was growing into a circle. These got trimmed at the vet.

The cat is well behaved but very very timid and shy. It hides all day long but doesn’t hiss or scratch or anything if approached and has let me pet her a few times. I’ve been feeding her well to fatten her up to a healthier weight and plan to have her spayed and vaccinated soon.

So my question is, given this is a feral adult rather than a kitten as previously thought… should I be planning to neuter and release her back to the outside world rather than trying to keep her? Would she be happier/better off that way?

I’ve kept cats before but they were all adopted as pre-socialized kittens or adult cats with previous owners. New to this situation and just want to do what’s best for the kitty!
