There’s an excellent substack on one town’s experience with flock cameras. They’re experiencing the fun of finding out flock cameras are inside a child’s gymnastics area, and how many times flock employees access that video.

A local flock employee in Raleigh is named in the article and data shows he spends an inordinate amount of time watching the feed of a pool in this out of state town.

I want to thank the user here that educated me on Apex’s use of flock and I encourage everyone to consider that this might be precisely what government overreach looks like. These people answer to no one. This will 100% eventually be used to monitor pockets of dissent.

Let’s not sit back and contentedly watch Apex become a police state. This is as insidious as a data center, and it needs the same amount of energy from us.
