Is tech stack agnostic hiring dead? Stuck in the same stack.

I have ~4 years of experience in ruby (rails). I want to switch to Java/Golang/Python.

But any SDE2 roles I see requires experience in their particular language or framework.

IMO, if you know Oops concepts, design patterns, system design, have good DSA skills you can become comfortable in any language or framework in a month. But I don’t understand why companies are hellbent in hiring only engineers with experience in their tech stack.

I’m trying to switch soon, if you guys have any advice/if you know any tech stack agnostic companies please lmk.

Thanks in advance

The "Triple-100" Club: Why Santner’s next 20 Test wickets matter.

Just realized Mitch Santner is quietly putting together one of the most underrated all-round resumes in modern cricket.

Currently, he has:

1000+ runs in each format

133 ODI wickets

142 T20I wickets

80 Test wickets

If he bags just 20 more Test wickets, he’ll become only the second player in history after Shakib Al Hasan to complete the 1000 run/100 wicket trifecta across all three formats.

Considering how much he’s been a workhorse for the Blackcaps over the years, seeing him hit this milestone would be massive!
