E-reader for borrowing books from the library?

My partner is looking to get their first e-reader and I really want to suprise them with one. I also have never had one but know that the only thing they really need is a device that can be used to read books from the library. Preferably easily but we can work with one that needs to be hooked up to a computer to accomplish this. Any suggestions would be helpful.

The Rules of the Road by C.B. Jones

Found this little guy at my local thrift book shop (I pick up anything weird bc I know it won't be there next time I go lol) and was pleasantly surprised. Apparently this is the authors first full length novel and it doesn't disappoint! If you like Welcome to Night Vale type weirdness then you'll love this. Its a bunch of little stories that relate to the big story. I won't spoil it but I will say I like that it has a conclusion of sorts, which I feel a lot of weird books dont. They often leave you going "huh. Why though?" This one still does a bit, but you get some answers and I love that.

I didnt super love some of the last stories but they weren't bad. Im just personally not a fan of some of topics the author chose for those. Im sure others will enjoy them. Everything else though gave me a kind of high with how much fun I was having. I love weird, creepy things that dont spook you per se but make you go "oh man what if?" And this scratched that itch for me. Hopefully some of you have read this (or will!) because no else i know has heard of it.

I'll go first. I have a sealed, brand new 1st edition of Necrophilia Variations by Supervert. Its my baby and actually one of the first EH/weird books I ever bought over a decade ago. Last I checked a few used copies are up for sale for a few hundred but other than that I've never known anyone else who owns one. What are some rare ones you guys have on your shelves? Or even one you havent seen anyone else own?

This is my first ever PC and I took a lot of your guys' suggestions into consideration and ended up buying a pre-built from Stormcraft PC. Quite a few people suggested them but there wasn't really any information on the company or what was online came from profiles that were only used to say that Stormcraft was good. So I took a chance because what I bought was a great price and a lot of people said the specs were good. I figured Id make this post for anyone else looking at buying a pre-built from Stormcraft but a little nervous about it.

Well, they're legit lol. Took them about 5 business days to ship it out to me (their site says 5-8) and it got here 2 days later via FedEx. They shipped it in their own box with nothing hidden and anyone would know exactly what it was. But it got here unscathed.

It was packaged really well and was nearly plug and play. I had to download drivers, which I've been told by my tech friends is normal even for a prebuilt. In the box comes the PC itself, a mouse and keyboard, an accessory bag, and a checklist showing what they inspected and tested.

I love it and couldn't be happier with my purchase. I got a prebuilt from their SIRIUS series and would definitely recommend.

As for their customer service, it wasn't bad just odd. I tried to call them to get some info but instead someone named Matt texted me saying he could help me. I thought it was weird but he did end up answering my questions. If anything goes wrong within my warranty time and i have to contact them for something serious ill update this. Every purchase comes with a year warranty free unless you want to spend a little extra for the 3 year.

Id say Stormcraft PC is a neat little company and you shouldn't be too scared to buy from them despite their small social media presence.
