How's the outsourcing scene in Nepal right now? (UK / US / Australian accounting & mortgage companies)ACCA/CA/Finance accounting people?

Hey everyone,

I wanted to ask people working in outsourcing companies in Nepal (UK, US or Australian clients, including bookkeeping, payroll and mortgage processing) about the career side of it.

  • How are the career prospects? Do you see your career trajectory getting stronger over time, or does it plateau?
  • Does learning QuickBooks, Xero, etc. actually help in getting freelancing jobs? Is it realistic to freelance alongside or after an outsourcing job?
  • How are vacancies right now? Is hiring active?
  • What does the pay look like for ACCA part-qualified people?

Honest experiences (good or bad) are welcome. Thanks!
