u/designWHY

Hi, I dont know if this is the right place to ask this question, but figured it was good for a first try. Im a photographer, but i also have a background/degree in industrial design.

Im based in the US, but is there a place or site, where I can just buy a camera sensor? Like if I was trying to make my own digital camera, as the closest I can explain as to what im thinking( mostly to see if I can/weird design ideas- im not looking to rival sony).

Any leads, ideas, or more appropriate reddits are appreciated, thanks!

Im traveling soon and havent traveled with my converted to full spectrum camera yet. Just wanted to make sure, since the sensor got converted that going through tsa security isnt going to screw anything up in the camera?
