Hop pruning during the summer

I have some hop plants that have been doing great in my backyard, however they are starting to really branch out on the lower branches. I am wondering if there are best practices to pruning bines that come off the lower parts of the plant, whether this will hurt or help the harvest or if there is a recommended length to leave them . As it sits they are starting to reach to each other and overlap. I have heard cutting off the tips can lead to thicker growth and more yield, but I am not sure if that is specifically for the main bine, and/or when it should be done.

Images of the relevant parts of the plants (its specifically the horizontal growth that I am concerned with) : https://imgur.com/a/yg0UbgP
