Newly pregnant and worried about neural tube development

I just found out I’m pregnant (two weeks post conception) and I’m extremely worried about the health of my baby. I did not expect to get pregnant this quickly and have not been taking folic acid. While my last A1C was 6.0, I have been starting on the Ypsomed pump. In the last two weeks I had two DKA incidents due to faulty connections. The first was trace amounts and I was able to fix it fairly quickly. In the second incident I had a moderate amount of ketones when I tested and it took longer to come down from. Since those two incidents I have been under control. However, since I found out I’m pregnant, I’m so scared about my baby and the development of their neural tube. I’m so worried that those DKA incidents plus the lack of folic acid could have impacted them. Since just finding out I’m pregnant I have now gotten folic acid supplement and I took 5 mg. However, I’m scared and angry at myself. Wondering if anyone has any insight into this subject? I just found out today but I’m contacting my health team tomorrow to discuss, but wondering if anyone could offer some advice?

For some background, I partial tore my ACL in my right knee without knowing it at the beginning of March. I was continuing activity and exercises as normal for about a month until I was having difficulty walking up stairs without pain. I went to a physio who said the untreated partial ACL tear lead to a lateral meniscus tear. I have been wearing the Bauerfeind GenuTrain S brace ever since and going to physio twice a week. Pain and swelling was going down and I was feeling more stability until a week ago. I went for an ankle weights walk (while wearing the brace) which I now know was dumb and I was also moving and packing boxes so lots of up and down motion. My physio says I inflamed it, but he doesn’t think I tore it worse, however I’m having a fair amount of pain now while walking. It has not been locking and I am able to straighten and bend the knee relatively easily. It does click fairly noticeably when I extend. I’m very frustrated with myself that I was on the road to recovery and feel like I have now set myself back. I’m still waiting on an MRI (wait times are so long) but I have been using the stationary bike and focusing on strengthening my glutes. I’m scared that I will need surgery and that I won’t be able to return to my regular levels of activity. Does anyone have a similar experience? Is it better or worse that the meniscus was torn as a result of the ACL wear and tear rather than a sudden injury? (The ACL has healed now) and any recommended tips and tricks to get back on track? Appreciate any feedback! For reference I am a 28 year old female.
