Wake up, baby: Satya dropped a new blog: where he argues that AI is different from old software. With old software, we can clearly see how it works. With AI, we often don’t fully understand why it does what it does. This becomes risky when AI can see private data or take important actions.

Wake up, baby: Satya dropped a new blog: where he argues that AI is different from old software. With old software, we can clearly see how it works. With AI, we often don’t fully understand why it does what it does. This becomes risky when AI can see private data or take important actions.

He says we need to build strong safety systems around AI. The AI’s smartness should stay separate from human control and decision-making. We should use the same careful security rules that companies already use for important systems.

He lists key rules for safer advanced AI:

- Use different kinds of AI models

- Watch everything closely and keep clear records

- Allow outside checks and audits

- Put strong limits and protections around the AI

- Share what goes wrong so everyone can learn and improve

Google is changing how search result links work. When you search for something, the links no longer show the real website address. Instead, they go to something like google .com/goto? followed by a long secret code that only Google can understand. (btw third page disappears in incognito)
