Image 1 — Should I go breadth first (all subjects) or depth first (master one subject at a time)?

Should I go breadth first (all subjects) or depth first (master one subject at a time)?

If I want to score high, should I first cover all subjects (go breadth over depth) or should I first cover one subject at a time and master it completely before moving to next subject (depth first)?

Most of us are already using ChatGPT or Claude to study for GATE. But the problem is that when you ask it to quiz you, it makes up questions. Sometimes they're wrong. Sometimes they don't match GATE pattern at all.

So I built an MCP server on top of Tayari. Once you connect it, your AI assistant stops guessing and starts pulling actual GATE PYQs.

What it does:

  • 15+ years of questions across all CSE subjects. GATE DA support too
  • Every question is tagged by topic, difficulty (easy/medium/hard), and type (MCQ, MSQ, NAT)
  • You attempt the question inside the chat, submit your answer, get the result + explanation
  • Your attempts are tracked, so your weak areas build up over time

It knows the full GATE syllabus structure down to individual topics, so it maps whatever you say to the right questions. And it tracks your progress, without any extra effort.

MCP is free. No ads, no premium tier, no catch.

You can check the video on how to connect MCP with your favourite AI assistant.

Would love feedback. Roast it if you want, I'd rather know now then later.
