Intern welcome kits: what’s useful and what’s just junk?

We’ve got 12 interns starting in June and I need to figure out welcome kits pretty fast. Last year we just gave them a company t-shirt and a folder with paperwork. Feedback was… not great 😅

This year I’d actually like to make a decent first impression, since a few of them could turn into full time hires. Budget is around $50-$75 per person, so not huge. But I’d rather do a few useful things than a tote full of random cheap stuff. 6 of our interns are remote, so ideally I need something that can be shipped to different addresses without me personally packing boxes

For the interns here, what did you get on day one that you actually liked? And what went straight in the trash?
