Heya! Me and two of my friends are heading to Varkala from 26th to the 28th.

We’ve planned to rent scooters as soon as we get there. We’re aiming to stay at a social hostel around North Cliff to meet people. We are a highly social group and want to make the most of our 3 days. Need your absolute best recommendations for:

1. Food / Cafes: Where do we get the best food, cafe / cozy vibes?
2. Nightlife & Party: I know Varkala isn't Goa, but where does the crowd actually go to drink, dance, or catch a great DJ set/live music? (Heard a bit about Sandy Bay Cafe and Darjeeling Cafe, are they still the top spots?)
3. Adventure Activities: We are heavy adrenaline junkies. We already have kayaking and surfing/paragliding on our radar. Are there any other hidden cliff jumps, trekking trails, or extreme water sports we should look into?
4. Socializing: Best places to meet other fellow backpackers and groups?

Also, how is the weather looking for late May? Should we prepare for heavy rains ruining outdoor plans?
