I feel so guilty not tipping.

I’m from the US, so tipping is literally hardwired into my brain. I just finished a beautiful meal and the service was incredible. When I tried to leave an extra 50 RMB on the table, the waiter literally chased me down the street to give it back, thinking I’d forgotten my money. I felt like I was offending them Is it really that strict of a no tipping rule?

Anyone else annoyed by the Ultra branding for Prime Video?

My ad-free sub just renewed as Prime Video Ultra ($4.99/mo). It feels like a sneaky way to justify the 67% price hike from the old $2.99 deal. I will say, having five concurrent streams on the box is nice for the family, but the Ultra name is so corporate.

Caregiver seeking the easiest rechargeable hearing devices for a senior with severe arthritis?

My grandfather suffers from severe arthritis in his hands, making it virtually impossible for him to handle those microscopic size 312 hearing aid batteries anymore. We are looking to transition him to rechargeable models, but he has a lot of trouble manipulating small objects into tight spaces.

I am hunting for a manufacturer that offers a truly foolproof, "drop-in" charging station. It needs to be fully magnetic so he doesn't have to perfectly align tiny gold contact points. If the docking process is even slightly frustrating, he simply won't use it. Furthermore, are there any options that maintain a charge for more than 24 hours, just in case he forgets to dock them one evening? I would be incredibly grateful for any recommendations tailored to low-dexterity seniors!

[H] 3 slots Disney Bundle (No Ads) - Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ [W] $9/month

Now that the Hulu integration into Disney+ is finally stable, I’m looking for 3 people to join my family group. Everything is the No Ads tier because I can't stand the 5-minute commercial breaks they just added. $9 flat per month covers all three apps. Perfect if you’re trying to catch the new Daredevil or The Bear without paying $25 solo.

I’m currently sweating through my shirt in Guangzhou. It's 35°C (95°F) with 90% humidity. I look like a swamp monster, while the locals are walking around looking completely crisp and dry in long pants. What is the secret?

Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about this lately because I only got my hearing aids recently, and looking back, there were a few moments that really pushed me to make the decision.

For me, it was a mix of things: constantly asking people to repeat themselves, especially in noisy places, struggling to hear music the way I used to, having conversations at work or with friends became exhausting, and I realized I was avoiding social situations just to avoid missing things.

I am getting conflicting information. Some say just buy an eSIM like Nomad or Holafly before arriving, others say buy a local Chinese SIM card at the airport and use LetsVPN.I just need Google Maps, Instagram, and WhatsApp to work.
