Is Tenerife a good honeymoon destination?

Hi! My fiancé & I are planning a "mini moon" for 5 days in early November. We are from the east coast of the US, and most of the typical honeymoon destination islands near us are impacted by hurricane season that time of year, so we are looking elsewhere. I have heard lots of positive things about Tenerife, with people calling it the Hawaii of Europe! I have been researching 5 star hotels and have found a few strong choices, but I always seek the opinions of redditors before locking in my travel plans. My fiancé & I are looking for a destination where we could theoretically stay at the hotel the whole time and relax in a pool or on a beach. We are hopeful we can find a place that is an all inclusive, but if not a true all inclusive, having on site dining options is a plus. We do not want to be around families and children, and we also do not like mega hotels with 5 different pools and 100+ rooms, we prefer something more private and boutique.

My questions are:

  1. Can you recommend a hotel that would fit our criteria?
  2. Is Tenerife a good spot for the type of experience I described?

Some hotels that already came up in my search are the Royal River, Ritz Carlton, and Bahia del Duque.
Thank you in advance!

EDIT: Also should mention we do not have a budget.

ISO - 3 Months Out Wedding Planner with Day Of Services

I am a little over three months out from my wedding & regretting not hiring some sort of planning assistance. All of my vendors are booked, but my fiancé & I both have demanding jobs and do not have time to plan this wedding. I am looking for recommendations of planning services that are more like management services - I don't need help with inspiration or ideas, but I need help with executing.

Did anyone use a service like this for their wedding and have a recommendation? How much does something like this typically cost? I would also be interested in day of support.

Three Days in Milan… am I eating at the right places?

Ciao! Next week I will be in Milan for three days. I am a big foodie and want to be sure I am eating at the right places. Can you give me your thoughts? Note that I am not big on “Michelin style” super upscale dining. I am looking for the best bite to get a feel for Milanese cuisine and the culture of the city:

- Veramente
- Ratana
- Al Garghet
- Salsamenteria di Parma
- Osteria Brunello
- Cesarino

I was also looking at Giacomo Arengario, but seems like the draw is the views of the Duomo more than the food itself. What am I missing? What am I doing wrong? Also, where should I be going for apertivo? I have Mag Cafe and UGO.

Thank you in advance!

Food Recommendations in Bellagio and Varenna

Ciao! My partner & I are staying in Bellagio and looking for restaurant recommendations in the area. I understand Bellagio has a touristy reputation, but we are New Yorkers and understand that every town has its off the beaten path places to offer. I am hoping for some local advice on good food and good atmosphere in Bellagio, Varenna, Menaggio, and Tremezzo.
Thank you!

Child Care During Reception?

I’m getting married in the NYC area this fall, and we are having a child-free reception. My fiancé’s sisters are coming in from out of town, both will have children (a 1.5 year old and a baby on the way that will be 2 months by our wedding date). We want his sisters and their husbands to be totally present and able to enjoy the wedding, and in accordance with our child-free policy, the children are not invited to the evening reception. How have you managed securing child care for young children for out of town guests? Appreciate your recos in advance!

Staying in Malgrate, Looking for Recs!

Ciao! My partner and I are visiting from the US and will be spending 4 days in July in the Lake Como region, with our home base being Hotel Promessi Sposi in Malgrate. I am looking for recommendations on where to eat. We're celebrating a milestone birthday, so I want to ensure I have great dinner reservations, and we especially enjoy outdoor and lakeside dining. I am looking for recommendations near Malgrate/Lecco because we will not have a car and we like to go back to the hotel and relax before dinner. I am also interested in food recommendations in some of the towns we intend to visit: Como, Varenna, Bellagio, Tremezzo, Lenno, Nesso.

I am also interested in recommendations for things to do in general. We plan to bop around the above towns, take a boat ride on the lake, and visit some of the villas. We love hiking, good food, and wine, so also interested in perhaps a wine experience or some sort of cultural food experience.

Any recommendations are much appreciated. I look forward to visiting your beautiful region!
