October Meal Prep

Made a post for September that a lot of people liked so I wanted to share what I made for my October meal preps. I'm a doctor in residency so I don't have a ton of free time. I also need to hit my macros and as good as the hospital cafeteria food is, it's basically slop as far as macros go (though a little slop after a long night shift ain't so bad). Because of all that, I do a lot of meal prepping. Below are links to all the recipes- variety of Instagram and TT recipes I have saved to my folders and notes app. Some miscellaneous thoughts below that.

For recipes: I initially included the links to the IG posts, but IG doxxes you when you share a link via the app, so I will tell you where to find the recipe on IG and if you really want to cook them, you can look them up there. E: /u/Cantaloupeasleep502 posted the links in the comments; goated for that

Red Pesto chicken gnocchi: @taylorschneidur post from 7/6

Supreme pizza bowls, tomato boursin chicken pasta, artichoke spinach chicken pasta, caramelized onion pasta, sweet potato sausage egg bake: @adamwolfefitness posts from 9/11, 9/13, 9/25, 9/26, and 9/27, respectively

Smores Rice crispy treat: @noahperlotfit post from 8/31

Also a few more desserts I plan on making and one frozen meat dish but my freezer is completely packed right now, so will have to hold off.

Thoughts:

- Was way too ambitious this month. I got excited with how many good recipes I was saving (compounded with being hungry all the time in my cut) so I spent way too much and came close to wasting food with how little storage I have. Next month, I plan on calculating the number of meals I need and buying based on that.

- Costco chicken thighs have shit macros. I made the dumb mistake of not checking the nutrition label before purchasing 25 lbs of it and I was dumbstruck when I entered it into Cronometer. These recipes would be much better with chicken thighs from another place that aren't as fatty

- The sweet potato egg bake would benefit from the whole 16 oz of turkey sausage instead of 10 oz. Also, my Walmart doesn't have the sweet potato tots but sweet potato fries worked pretty well

-After not having had a dishwasher, oven that got to temp, space to do a lot of cooking, or good stove for the last 4 years, I sincerely appreciate living in an apartment that has everything.

Happy to answer any questions

September Meal Prep

My September schedule has me working 60-80 hour weeks 6 days a week, so I wanted to make things easy for myself with regards to work lunches. Made a sheet pan chicken parm, street corn chicken pasta bowls, red Pesto chicken gnocchi, key lime pie, and some frozen cookie dough balls

I usually just do a black coffee when I wake up, energy drink an hour or two later, break the fast around lunchtime with one of these meals +/- a yogurt, then have a bigger dinner later in the day which is usually chicken or ground beef with carbs, then a dessert. Each lunch is 400-500ish cals and 40-50g protein. Recipes linked below

Street corn chicken pasta bowls)

Sheet pan chicken parm

Red Pesto chicken gnocchi

Key lime pie and cookies are ATK recipes from the cookbook, can be found online

I'm ~190 lbs, 6' 3", on ~2200 cals a day with 150g protein
