Auto-hide is a great feature! I know how to toggle auto-hide completely, but how do I toggle auto-hide for the panel only?
OS: Win 11

I struggled to identify my emotions until I found the Feelings Wheel in a subreddit dedicated to screenwriting. It gave my self-therapy a huge boost. I simply started exploring emotions one by one.

Step 1: Read the explanation of the emotion. For this, I used Google AI search.
Step 2: Ask yourself, “Am I feeling this emotion?”
Step 3: If yes, ask yourself, “Why am I feeling it?”
Then use this information for the standard CBT process.

Problem:

Web panels in Vivaldi can stay alive in the background indefinitely, consuming RAM and CPU even when they are hidden and not in use.

Motivation:

Web Panels are the main reason why I use the Vivaldi browser. This feature changed my browsing experience and split my life into a “before” and "after." However, web panel tabs do not have proper hibernation, and they can use a lot of system resources. I hope I am not the only one who has this pain, which is why I am sharing this mod here.

Solution:

This mod automatically hibernates each web panel after it has been hidden for a configurable amount of time, using the native "chrome.tabs.discard()" API. Tabs with active audio playing are not hibernated. Vivaldi restores the panel automatically when the user opens it again, preserving the session state. There is also a toggle button on each web panel tab that allows you to enable or disable auto-hibernation for that panel individually.
