Suggestions for "Dixieland" comping?

I've really gotten into "Dixieland" jazz as I've been running through Louis Armstrong's discography to learn how he approaches solos. I am very interested in learning how to better comp as a rhythm guitarist. Does anyone have any suggestions on Dixieland comping (chord choices, voice leading, avoiding low E string, etc)? I'm not great at jazz comping other than simply clunking chords; I could never really learn how to successfully add movement.

Edit: I'm not buying a banjo. Tips for electric guitar are appreciated!

My forebearance is ending at the end of the month, but my new IDR plan is not being processed.

What happens if my forebearance ends before my new IDR is accepted? I submitted mine on July 1st and am still waiting to hear back. I really want to avoid being put on the standard repayment plan as this will significantly increase my monthly payment and I do not think it will count towards PSLF (my longterm goal).
