Korean American getting exhausted by Korean culture
I was born in Korea but grew up in the states. Recently visited Korea for a business trip and am so disappointed in the people and culture here. Everyone here is so rude unless you’re a business partner or are a family member . You get treated as an outsider if you have a hint of a foreign accent. Even in the states among people who look nothing like me, I’ve experienced so much more warmth and feelings of belonging versus these cold robots in korean society. Maybe it’s a product of living in a hyper competitive society, but I’m over it; can’t wait to go back home.
