Locations Randomizer added to Marvel United Randomizer, bug fixes, and roadmap

Hello again!

Last I shared the Marvel-United-Randomizer app I've created to help me decide what to play:
https://marvel-united-randomizer.vercel.app/

In the middle of the week, I've added the Locations randomizer alongside it, which randomize all locations available.

I've spent most of the day today debugging images and expansion sets to make sure it's as correct as possible. There were dozens of data bugs of all kinds, the app should be pretty much 99% correct bar data that was wrong on CMON Wiki or some other data misplacement.

All KS filters also should include KS exclusive heroes or villains as well.

Not all sources are perfect and even CMON Wiki doesn't have all things correct (I've even made a few fixes there after finding out a few inconsistencies). If any other visual bug, or incorrect data (e.g. hero/villain is in the incorrect expansion, please let me know here, or open an issue on Github.

During the week I've also put together a bunch of data that collects information of character relation crossovers from 1961-2002, and put together another dataset (ongoing) for 2003+. Comic Accuracy is a tool within Marvel United Randomizer for now until I feel the need to decouple them.

So let's talk roadmap, what's coming next:

- The main one is the Campaign Randomizer: you choose between 1-4 expansions (which includes a core set, so 5 total) and if you want comic accuracy on or not. and it proposes to you the "small potatoes" to "big potatoes" path. You can also disable comic accuracy, pick the a number between 1-4 and it will then create a Multiverse style campaign, including only the selected filters you toggled.

- I will create a tab with the MCU order campaigns so if you want to replicate the movies with your own changes you can (e.g. if characters are knocked out, they are out of the campaign).

- I will also have a tab with a chronological order campaign, same rules.

- Spider-Verse tab with specific campaign filters following the Spider-Verse movies or a PDF campaign book for it

- Campaigns following known famous Marvel storylines: Infinity Gauntlet already mentioned as the main MCU one, Secret Wars, Age of Apocalypse, The Dark Phoenix Saga, and more.

You can sponsor the app here, which is linked always on the Github, and on the footer of the app. I will add a Ko-Fi link later there as well.

Thanks for the people who shared suggestions, and provided some info on some bugs. Let me know of features you might see cool to be added, and I will check if it's worth it implementing it for everyone.

Happy BAMs!

I've created an app to randomize heroes, villains, teams, and expansions

Hello!

Tired of thinking which set to use? Well, me too. So I created I've created an app to randomize heroes, villains, a team of 4, or a set. It should include every single expansion out to this day (if I didn't forget anything).
https://marvel-united-randomizer.vercel.app/

It's accessible from your phone, tablets, anything. I've optimized it a little bit as well for better readability on React.

A personal problem of mine is that I have a bunch of sets (not all of them). And whenever setting up a game, some games would have more preference than others, as it goes, but I wanted to have a way to make use of more of them.

I also have fetched some datasets and will combine some storylines and release some campaign PDFs hopefully this month, they will be accessible in the app as text, but also as downloadable PDFs.

You can log any data issue here or features: Issues or Features.

If you have any link that exemplifies all the data so I can get it right, that is certainly appreciated. For example, I know of What is actually exclusive to the Marvel United Kickstarters? – Hall of United, but there's so much search tracking all boxes and I might get it wrong, perhaps the community knows of something that already exists for this. I will track tonight what's on that post and see if I can fix more data.

Update: Filter added.

The project is also open source under MIT if any developer out there wants to use the code for some other randomizer projects of the sort: kuarahy/Marvel-United-Randomizer: A randomizer to help form storylines and suggestions for characters when creating Marvel United games

Update: Half a dozen data issues fixed, some more recognized, but I need a link that points out to all the data together (e.g. something that tells me what is part of what box, so I can make the differentiation between what's KS exclusive, and what is retail, since there is some crossover, and searches are not being that helpful).
