Physician’s and Surgeon’s Licensing Fee Will Increase Soon

Beginning January 1, 2027, the Medical Board of California (Board) will increase the initial license and renewal fee for a Physician’s and Surgeon’s (P&S) license to $1,255.00, as required by law. The Board’s consumer protection mission and related operations are entirely funded by the Board’s applicants and licensees, primarily through the payment of initial licensure and renewal fees. 
If you are issued a P&S license or if your P&S license expires on or after January 1, 2027, you will be required to submit the new fee amount.
