Why do they cast recognizable actors?

I'm just puzzled by this choice. Kirk Fox has recurred on every successful sitcom of the last decade. They had to keep Kirk away from Ronald because Ronald loves Parks and Rec.

So for S2 they turned around and recast Lisa Gilroy -- a regular on Dropout -- clips of whom have gone very VERY viral across the internet. And Alex Bonifer, who was the lead on a major Netflix show.

Surely they could have just ... cast different actors? This seems like such a huge risk and a very expensive choice if the gag was spoiled.

Has anyone seen this discussed by production anywhere?

Is it cute or cringe if I (white girl) cook Indian food for an Indian guy?

A guy I'm dating bought me a couple of his favorite Indian desserts to try, including besan laddu. I looked into how they're made and it's quite simple. I love cooking/baking for people, so of course my first instinct was to make it for him. I found a recipe that seems authentic (published pre-AI by an Indian chef) and I feel quite confident I can make it. But I'm nervous that it's cringe for a white girl to try to cook Indian food lol

I had another friend tell me once not to try to cook him anything from his native country because American attempts to do their food were never good and it just made him homesick. (We live in the US if that helps)

I thought about asking him outright, but I'd prefer it to be a surprise little treat if possible.
