Which birds are making this loud noise from the trees?

Apologies for the lack of footage of the birds themselves since they were really difficult to spot, but their calls are loud and Merlin is completely stumped. They sound corvid-like but not identical to any crow, magpie or jackdaw I ever heard. This is in South Wingfield, Derbyshire, UK.

Found this in River Sheaf in Sheffield, UK - plant fossil?

It's a little waterworn but this rock has what looks like a stem on the inside and the outside is covered in these little dimples which show up better when it's wet.

Bought this for £15 at a rock and mineral fair - does it look legit?

This was bought two years ago; don't remember who the seller was. I knew nothing about these types of fossils at that point. I just thought this one looked nice. But I happened to look at the going rates for these types of fossils in this condition online recently and found out the typical ballpark is £50-100 if not more. So good deal or a case of 'too good to be true'?
