Any Jays fans/collectors able to help out a local Cancer Charity Trivia night this Saturday?
Hi Jays Community!
I’m shooting my shot here with a bit of a long shot, but I know how incredible this community can be.
My wife and I live in St. Catharines and host semi-annual charity events. This winter, our curling fundraiser raised $11,900 for SickKids. This Saturday, May 23rd, we are launching our inaugural charity trivia night, "QUIZ FOR A CURE."
This cause is deeply personal. Our committee consists of a tight-knit circle of friends who have lost loved ones to cancer in just the last 12 months. We are turning that grief into a movement of hope to support families currently fighting. All proceeds are benefiting Wellspring Niagara, a regional cancer support centre close to my heart as our mom was scheduled to be admitted there but she never made it out of the hospital.
We are incredibly humbled to say the event is nearly SOLD OUT (28 of 30 tables booked!), which puts a lot of pressure on the MC (me!).
Because of the amazing turnout, we are looking for one or two final grand prizes or high-value items to add. If anyone in the community has memorabilia, game tickets, or any Blue Jays gear they’d be willing to donate, it would mean the world to us and make a massive difference for the charity.
