Shanghai Foreigner’s Work Permit and Traffic Violation Question

Thank you for reading.

I have been assigned to work in Shanghai and am currently preparing my application for a Foreigner’s Work Permit.
I am genuinely very excited about the opportunity to work in China.

However, when I obtained my Criminal Record Certificate, it included a speeding-related traffic violation from about three years ago.

The record states:
“Road Traffic Violation (Speeding) – Fine.”

I am very anxious about how this kind of traffic offense may affect the work permit process in Shanghai/China.

If anyone has experience with a similar situation or knowledge about the process, I would sincerely appreciate any advice or insight.

Thank you very much.

Regarding a Foreigner’s Work Permit for Shanghai

I have been assigned to work in Shanghai as an expatriate employee.
As I prepare for the application process, I am genuinely very excited about the opportunity to work in China.

However, when I obtained my Criminal Record Certificate, it showed a fine related to a speeding violation on an expressway from three years ago.

In other words, it means I technically have a criminal record.

I feel extremely anxious and discouraged about this, and it has honestly been difficult for me to sleep at night.

If anyone has knowledge or experience regarding Foreigner’s Work Permit applications in China/Shanghai, I would truly appreciate any advice or insight.

Thank you very much.

Title: Shanghai Foreigner’s Work Permit – Speeding Violation / Fine Record

Thank you for reading.

I have been assigned to work in Shanghai as an expatriate employee.
However, about three years ago in Japan, I received a summary prosecution/fine for speeding.

My Criminal Record Certificate states:
“Road Traffic Violation – Speeding” and “Fine.”

In this situation, would it be impossible to obtain a Foreigner’s Work Permit in Shanghai?

I am honestly feeling very anxious and discouraged right now, so if anyone has any knowledge or experience regarding this, I would sincerely appreciate any advice or information.

Thank you very much.

China Z Visa Question – Traffic Offense in Japan

Hello everyone,

I may be transferred from Japan to Shanghai for work, and I have a question regarding the China Z visa process.

A few years ago, I committed a serious speeding violation on a highway in Japan (more than 50 km/h over the speed limit).
In Japan, this resulted in a summary court procedure and a fine.

Under Japanese law, this is treated as a criminal penalty, so it appears on my police certificate as:

“Violation of the Road Traffic Act.”

Does anyone know whether a traffic-related offense like this could seriously affect a China work visa application?

I would really appreciate any advice or personal experiences.

Thank you very much.

Regarding a Criminal Record and Obtaining a China (Shanghai) Work Visa

I currently live in Japan, and I have recently been offered an expatriate assignment to Shanghai. I am 35 years old.

About 3 years ago, I unfortunately committed a serious speeding violation on a highway (more than 50 km/h over the speed limit).
In Japan, this resulted in a summary court procedure and a fine.

On my official criminal record certificate, it is listed as:
“Violation of the Road Traffic Act.”

I believe I will need to answer “Yes” to the question regarding criminal history during the visa application process, and I am very worried about whether my work visa application could be rejected because of this.

To be honest, I may be overthinking this because I’m quite anxious about the situation.
If anyone has knowledge or similar experience regarding Chinese work visas, I would really appreciate your advice.

Thank you very much.

China (Shanghai) Z Visa – Speeding Violation / Traffic Offense on Criminal Record Certificate

Hello everyone,
I’m sorry to ask this here, but I’m very worried and would really appreciate any advice or experiences.
I’m being transferred from Japan to Shanghai as an expatriate employee, and my company plans to apply for a China Z Visa under the B category.
Regarding the point system, I already meet the required 60 points.
However, about 3 years ago, I received a serious speeding violation on a highway in Japan (“red ticket” level speeding offense).
As a result, I received a summary court order and a fine.
On my official criminal record certificate, it is written as:
“Violation of the Road Traffic Act.”
I would like to ask:
Is this likely to cause a rejection for a China Z Visa?
Has anyone had experience with traffic-related offenses and Chinese work visa applications?
Is there anything I can do to improve my chances or explain the situation properly?
I’m honestly very anxious about this situation, so any advice or information would mean a lot to me.
Thank you very much.
