Baby Pom
hi all, i recently (a few days ago) aquired a very small jumping spider and i was hoping that someone may know what species they are!
i work at a grocery store and found this lil guy in the blossom end of a pomegranate when sorting out the icky ones! they have been aptly named Pom as suggested by a friend/coworker, and sofar seem to be doing okay! they've constructed a lil web nest in the top corner of the enclosure i set up for them (maybe molting?? they havent moved From the webbing but they do move In it), but i have some food ready for them when they feel like emerging from there and exploring/eating.
anyways im in southern ontario (canada), but the pomegranate that Pom was found in was grown in california, so its possible they hitched a ride where the fruit was grown instead of the warehouse a few hours from where i live.
TIA! xx
LOCATION(s): found in Southern Ontario, Canada; possibly from around Reedly, California
