Considering a boat trip to Phi Phi (and Maya) but also perhaps Similan. If you’ve gone one one of these what was your experience? Who did you book with? Thanks in advance!

How do I deal with men (at work, in various boards, groups etc) who engage in unabashed self promotion or insert themselves into projects they’ve done little to no work on? For ex, one just asserted that he should be the next leader of a group (which is not self-nominating) while another just claimed he would serve as a committee member of a group I’ve been organizing? How do I push back without causing issues? The graceless audacity is frustrating!

We’re a middle aged couple with no kids. Grand Centara seems nice, but I’m seeing a lot of positive recs on Mandarava. Anyone been to these?

Looking at Grand Centara and Hotel Clover. Both have great reviews and are beach front but very different price points. If you’ve stayed at either please weigh in. We are two middle aged adults no kids.

Staying in December - first timers, married and no kids. If we stay at a quieter beach like Kata are there places to eat within walking distance or should we just book at a busier beach like Patong? Trying to avoid an all inclusive and walk to food options. Give me your best tips!

I have a very secure job outside the US in a very toxic department. I’ve worked with HR on some of it, but essentially advancement is blocked to me. Currently looking for options elsewhere, but it’s difficult considering I’m not in a STEM field. My pubs and research are competitive. I also do service work. What would you do if in my shoes?
