Staying in December - first timers, married and no kids. If we stay at a quieter beach like Kata are there places to eat within walking distance or should we just book at a busier beach like Patong? Trying to avoid an all inclusive and walk to food options. Give me your best tips!

I have a very secure job outside the US in a very toxic department. I’ve worked with HR on some of it, but essentially advancement is blocked to me. Currently looking for options elsewhere, but it’s difficult considering I’m not in a STEM field. My pubs and research are competitive. I also do service work. What would you do if in my shoes?
