That being said, I’m looking for friends to explore the city and the surroundings on the week end, (or even just chill out in the city). If it’s not too hot, I would be down to go hiking or discover some fine places.
Also, I really like sports so anyone that would be interested in surfing, playing baseball, volleyball or anything else would be welcome !
Hello !! I'm a 21M from Europe (Fr, Es) going to Osaka on July to do a 5 weeks language course, and after that, from 1 to 12 August, I have the freedom to go anywhere in Japan. I used to surf a lot before going to university, and I heard Japan offers some incredible surfing spots, so I would really like to try it out. I'm looking for the opportunity to make friends to enjoy the trip with (if possible), go out at night to enjoy the summer ambiance and have some good conditions for surfing.
I've been reading a lot on the net and I can't decide myself on where to go. Leaving from Osaka, I saw either going to Fujisawa and Niijima because they say there are some good Beach houses and you can meet people easily, but there's too many people in the sea, otherwise I saw Fukuoka and Miyazaki that apparently offers some crazy good conditions in summer, but Idk about social life.
Also, I need to be back in Tokyo by the 12 to take my flight.
I thought about going through Hiroshima also, in both cases, because I've been told its worth the time, and then Idk really how to organize my itinerary.
Budget wise, I'm thinking of just taking shinkansen between the far away cities, and I would like to join a surfcamp or a hostel where you can meet people. I plan on renting surf boards too.
Summary : 1-(3,4) = Hiroshima, 4-10 Either Kyuujyuu or Fujisawa, 10-12 to Tokyo.
I'm really open for any advice, whether about the destination or if you know any surf camps or any information from your past experiences. Thank you in advance for your suggestions and your time 😁
