there’s some rust on the drain spout of my fermentation vessel. I am planning to replace the part with rust on it. but the question pop into my head, would that even affect anything?  I mean, I’m planning to do clarification on any mash that would be done in it. and then distillation after that.

I can see it damaging the fermentation vessel if left unchecked. and I am planning replace the part before use. But would it affect the mash or final product any if not?
