This is a very basic question but figured I’d ask anyways. I always double check to make sure I loaded the film correctly, if I didn’t then I know that I need to rewind and reload it.

Here is the question.

How do you know when the film is free from the advance lever but not fully rewound to the point where you can no longer see the film? Is there some indication, or do you just have to use your best judgment?
