What’s the vibe with ICON central lab? Anyone a PM?

I’ve been referred to a PM position at ICON, but I don’t a think I’ve heard anything positive about them. Are there any CL PM’s around that can tell me how bad ICON sucks / doesn’t suck / doesn’t suck as much as other CL’s

Severe pain sent me to the ER and now I live in fear

Hey gastritis comrades — I’m hoping someone can relate.

so about 6 weeks ago I had a stomach bug that had me vomiting bile for several hours, which resulted in sudden, severe pain under my sternum.

It was legitimately the worst pain I’ve ever felt (worse than gallbladder attack and removal, worse than a C-section, worse than a severe migraine, just to give some context).

I was wailing and rolling around on the floor because I the pain was so bad, and I’m generally pretty stoic. My husband called an ambulance, and the EMT’s gave me IV pain meds, which .. got me to shut up.

After my ER trip, I had a CT scan, an endoscopy and an MRI. The CT scan and MRI showed a liver lesion that is expected to be benign, and the endo showed mild gastritis.

I of course take issue with “mild” since I genuinely felt that something was rupturing in my body, but I get that mild is a medical term.

I’m now on twice daily PPI’s and taking Zofran and Levsin, as needed, both of which are very helpful!

My main concern is that now anytime I feel the slightest sensation in my stomach (pain, burning, feeling too full), I panic and stop eating, typically after eating about half of my food.

I’ve now lost enough weight over the past 6 weeks to become underweight and am still slowly trending down.

I’m on anxiety mediation and working with my therapist, but I’m wondering if anyone else has had the same situation and would like to hear experiences in reducing that fear.

Many thanks and also sorry we’re all here!
