FlightyCO2: emissions history from your Flighty export

As a frequent flier, this is a little masochistic.

I built FlightyCO2 this week - it's a simple site where you upload your Flighty export (CSV) and it computes the carbon footprint of your entire flight history.

It reimplements Google's Travel Impact Model to estimate the CO2 emissions based on the route, aircraft, typical seat config/load factor, route efficiency (distance & wind), and most importantly, the cabin class you flew in. If you don't have that logged in Flighty, it will assume economy and you can toggle to another class. If the aircraft info is not in your Flighty history, then it falls back to DEFRA.

All of this happens in your browser, client-side. Your CSV / flight history is never uploaded anywhere nor can I see it. The whole thing is open-source, you can check out the code here.

For full transparency: this project was built with AI assistance. You can read my AI disclosure for more info.
