The whole thing about environmentalism and lookism is a huge stretch and basically nonsense. It’s great, of course, that we were provided with “evidence” in the form of videos where Gunil talked about the environment and lookism (although he never directly mentioned lookism—the author of the post simply decided that it was about lookism), but that doesn’t make Gunil a bad person. You can’t even really take this as evidence that he’s a bad person.
Yes, he said that he believes plastic doesn’t contribute to climate change, which is indeed nonsense, but it’s not like he goes around throwing trash on the streets. That simply means he wasn’t educated on environmental issues and didn’t know that plastic really does have a negative impact on the environment.
Then there’s the most absurd topic of all—lookism. The author of the post claimed that Gunil judges everyone based on their appearance because, according to a video provided by the author, he said that when he was younger, his jaw looked different because of his wisdom teeth, and that he doesn’t like the way it looks now as much as he did when he was younger. After he said this, Jungsu, who was standing next to him, asked why he thought that way. Gunil replied that he believed his appearance should be the way it was when he was younger and, in his opinion, that was how it was supposed to look.
But I think people need to understand that at that moment he was talking specifically about himself. He said nothing about other people, so this has nothing to do with lookism. (Again, I’m writing here what I remember from the post. I remember the whole appearance-related topic very well, but I don’t remember Gunil saying that everyone should conform to some standard. He didn’t say that.)
The most important claims in this post are Gunil cheating, his terrible treatment of the members, and negativity toward not only sasaeng fans but also ordinary fans. None of this information has been confirmed. It’s important to keep in mind that the entire post is based on the words of the girl who leaked her messages with Gunil, and knowing what kind of person she is, we can already draw the conclusion that these are simply nasty and false rumors.
