I will be travelling from Canada to visit Greece and then Turkey this August. I am planning to spend 5-6 days in Athens and then fly to Istanbul.

I would rather spend money on experiences than hotels, so if you have any budget friendly travel tips, let me know! Also, feel free to drop in vegan travel hacks too 😀

Lastly, if someone can help me find other vegans (activist or otherwise - just any vegan group), that would be great because Facebook & MeetUp groups seem to be dead/inactive.

Also, if someone can get me in contact with a vegan community (activist or otherwise) in Athens, that would be great! Facebook and Meetup pages seem to be inactive/dead unfortunately.

Last question: coming from Canada, will go to Turkey as well then go back to Canada. If there is any travel hacks you have for alcohol, I would love to hear cuz I am planning on getting a bottle of Ouzo from Athens.
