Transferring from diff BSN program

Is it a smart decision to attend a more expensive college for one semester and then transfer back to my original school? I wasn’t able to get into UNG’s nursing program because I missed the application requirements after failing my HESI, and I really don’t want to wait another semester to start nursing school. I’m considering starting at Brenau for Spring 2027 and then trying to transfer back to UNG afterward because I wouldn’t be able to afford completing the entire BSN program at Brenau.
Do you guys think this would be a reasonable decision, or would it be a bad idea? I definitely wouldn’t make any decisions before talking to UNG first to make sure transferring back is even possible and to confirm whether the nursing courses I take at Brenau would transfer and count toward UNG’s BSN program.

Brenau BSN

Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with the BSN program at Brenau University? I’m considering going there and would love to hear from current or former students. Do you think the program is worth it? How are the professors, classes, clinicals, and overall experience?

Failed Hesi Twice

Okay, so hi everyone. I took the HESI twice and unfortunately failed both times. The first time I failed, I wasn’t able to make my school’s BSN application deadline, so I had to wait a semester to apply for Spring 2027. I took my HESI again today and failed it again, and the application deadline for Spring is August 15.
I really don’t want to wait another semester to apply, especially since this is literally my dream school. Do you guys recommend that I reach out to admissions and ask if I still stand a chance even though I didn’t meet the HESI requirement, or should I just accept that I won’t be able to apply this time? Has anyone been in a similar situation?
