Your contributions in helping us to provide public services make a meaningful difference every day for Californians. As part of this commitment to public service, we also recognize the importance of aligning our operations with statewide policies.
We are moving ahead with making our operations consistent with the Governor's March 3, 2025, return to office executive order which will go into-effect July 1, 2026.
The implementation of a default minimum of four in-person days per week is a statewide requirement for agencies and departments, consistent with Executive Order N-22-25 and quidance released by the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR).
In implementing the executive order, DHCS will continue to to operate a hybrid work model, which includes various combinations of remote work and in-person engagement to meet business and operational needs.
As DHCS implements its plan consistent with the intent and requirements of the executive order, management will provide further guidance to address role-specific details regarding your hybrid work schedule and in-office reporting requirements.
