home network - splitters confusion

Hi, noob post, sorry. tl;dr - what media converters to attach to a 1:4 splitter?

I want to connect 4 rooms with a thin fiber (like in [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/homelab/comments/1sz9li4/invisible\_bend\_insensitive\_bidi\_fiber\_is\_amazing/)) and found SC/APC-SC/APC, SM fiber. This would pair with [MC212CS converter](https://support.omadanetworks.com/en/product/mc212cs-2/) and PLC 1:4 SC/APC splitter.

I understand that for single mode patchcord I need two transceivers with opposite Tx/Rx frequencies, right?. But how does it work with a splitter? Do i get 1 x `1310 nm TX / 1550 nm RX` and 3 x `1550 nm TX/1310 nm RX`?

Or is this a totally wrong approach and maybe each room should have a dedicated connection to the router?

Thanks for the help!
