Heat wave long run

Hello all,

I’m running a marathon in 4 weeks. Wed I have my schedule 21 mile long run it’ll be my furthest distance. I sweat a lot and am a bigger runner. It’s supposed to be 94 I haven’t done any runs in over 75 degrees.

I’m looking for some tips to stay cool and hydrate properly. I’m a little worried about over heating or burning out because this is a very important long run.

Please let me know if you have any tips or questions

Is it worth pushing back this long run to the following week where it isn’t too hot and doing a lot of easy miles on my legs instead?

Hey everyone,

I just finished my first half marathon Sunday. I am running a midnight marathon in June. I want to sign up for my first 50 mile race in October, but I’m concerned it’ll be taking on too much of a load on my legs?

I’m curious about strength training and with my work schedule getting crazier if I’ll be able to get majority of my training done on Saturday and Sunday. Possibly some easy miles during the week?

Please let me know your thoughts on if this is sustainable and a good idea to do. And if so any tips to make this sustainable and achievable!

Thank you!!
