Seeking Emove Cruiser V2 (longterm) Reviews

Has anyone in this sub had an Emove Cruiser V2 for over a year and still use it? What are your thoughts? I’ve read both glowing reviews and those cursing the name. With the sheer amount of bots online I am hoping for some real feedback.

I was hoping to see some reviews from longterm (1+ years normal/heavy use) users who are still using it to this day. What do you like or dislike about it? It seems to fit all desired specs for me, a 5’2 135lb. commuter in a big city with a lot of poor infrastructure (in the US) who occasionally likes to go on joy rides. Where I like to ride and the roads/trails I use to commute have a lot of gradual inclines but nothing major (at most 8-10% grade). I currently have an Etwow GT sport but want something where I can go with the flow of traffic better when needed and get away from solid tires.

Welp, had my first hard crash today. Wear your gear, y'all

I was out on a route I’ve done hundreds of times, but today I hit a nasty patch of sand and gravel while heading downhill. Because I’ve coasted through stuff like that on flat terrain with no issues, I didn’t think twice. Total lapse in judgment… I completely forgot that going downhill means constant acceleration. I was probably moving at about 20–23 mph. Scooter slipped out from under me into the road and I went head first into the bike lane. No oncoming traffic so I was able to slip my scooter into the bike lane as I tried to collect myself while blood dripped down my face.

My helmet and gloves absolutely saved my brain and fingers. Still, I ended up with some intense road rash, a busted lip (inside and out), and a gash on my forehead from hitting the pavement after my helmet took the initial brunt of the impact. Thankfully no concussion or blacking out, which unfortunately meant feeling every bit of it in vivid detail.

Some kids running a lemonade stand down the street saw it happen and got their mom to come help. She patched me up and gave me water (Laura, I am incredibly grateful for people like you).

An urgent care visit later, I’ve got four stitches, a tetanus shot, and some lovely pink gauze covering the worst of the road rash. Needless to say, I’ll be ordering a new helmet—full-face this time, trust me—and some fresh gloves.

Moral of the story: For all that is great and good, please wear your gear and make sure it’s the right gear. Don't learn the hard way why full-face helmets are highly recommended.

Stay safe out there, friends.
