thoughts on "stell4r"?

if you're not aware this is a ship consisting of Odette, Vodyanitsa, Alyosha and Mitya that's gained some popularity lately and is a bit of a hot topic lately, with it flodding the Vodette tag and an extremely toxic discourse, with a couple points that stood out to me being:

- yuri shippers are being accused of biphobia for not liking the ship or being uncomfortable with how two men are being inserted in the Vodette ship

- claims that it's a sapphic ship because most people headcannon Alyosha and Mitya as trans/gnc

personally i'm not comfortable with the ship due to it feeling forced and the way they interacted in the main story with Mitya being a obsessed over Odette and Vodya's performances in an awkward and kinda creepy way, and Alyosha barely interacts with them in the main quest due to story reasons and the only moments there are he feels very distant and formal to me keeping in character as the "lone hunter"

i've experienced myself the difficulty in finding Swansong content without the other two but it's gotten better after muting/blocking specific words or people, but when i've seen people express their preferences i've also seen the hostility get to the point of death and rape threats by people aggressively stell4r against yuri shippers because they don't vibe with the polycule, which i find extremely baffling

how do we feel about this whole situation? i'd appreciate if some bi girlies could give their opinion too, and please be respectful!

Beneath the Frozen River

call it Vodette or Swansong but they've genuinely become my favourite ship in any game from out of nowhere

there's so much to their dynamic, so many subtle interactions between them and both of their stories are fantastic and perfectly written (even if Odette's hits too close to home) that i just can't stop thinking about them

if any artist sees this please draw them i'm starving here

how tiresome...

i mean no hate to anyone who shares their sentiment but the constant negativity and how women's designs are constantly scrutinized and relentlessly hated for the slightest thing EVERYWHERE, doesn't matter what community you go to, is exhausting

like how are we complaining about Odette she's so pretty and her story is so beautiful and well executed...

there's been times i wished there was a bit more of discussion in this sub but things like this remind me that it will always devolve into an endless circlejerk of negativity, it's better to avoid that

Matilda yearning

Somewhere else in the suitcase: "Emotionally stable and responsible; well-planned and capable; gentle, decisive, and beautiful... Huh? What's going on? Timekeeper? Why is your face covered in your hands?"

Reverse: 1999's global youtube channel taken down shortly after 3rd Anniversary livestream

If you've been aware of the game as of late you'll recognize this as patch 3.7 which caused a major controversy in the CN community when it released due to unchecked powercreep, a restrictive new endgame that gates the currency needed for character Euphorias (buffs), a spending event and major criticisms of the anniversary unit Rhiannon (picture 3) due to her design and her narrative context

5 months ago the channel was deleted due to a crypto scam but this time it's been removed for "violating Community Guidelines"

blue and red

hoyo i've seen what you've done for others please let these two be Snezhnaya's SandBina

(trigger warning: lore) but with what we've been told this trailer there's a big chance Anastasya is (or is related to) Koitar, the first angel that married Seutervoinen (third descender) who is referred to with feminine pronouns for her original form and masculine pronouns when rebelling against the Heavenly Principles, same time as they both fell in love

make of that what you will...

(ZZZ 3.1 story) some Remie moments and quick thoughts on them

as some people already guessed from the trailers the Remie we see is a façade she uses to mask her feelings of hopelesness and yearning for the past

it seems like she was also really close to Sunbringer back in the day and that her presents actions come from a desire to protect Sunbringer's legacy along with doing anything she possibly can to avoid losing those closest to her after she lost Beli, something she blames herself over and can't forgive her own perceived inaction even if she seems aware that it wasn't her choice

all in all the patch was good, Remielle's story is compelling even if it's relatively safe and doesn't have much surprises, the spectacle was on point and Belle had some shining moments in acting on her feelings, but most of the plot aside from these two characters felt rushed or badly implemented in the bigger picture. a big positive for me is how clearly you can see Remielle cared for Beli and Sunbringer and the emotional scars she has from everything that happened, i think it's safe to say that those 3 are at least heavily implied which is always refreshing in ZZZ

(ZZZ 3.1 leaks) this screams love triangle...

it might be even more doomed and toxic than we thought
