Just got a 981 Cayman S PDK, what mods do you recommend?
Hey everyone,
Just picked up a 2014 Cayman S PDK with 100k miles for less than $30K. It has Sport Chrono, PASM, and the 20" Carrera Classics. I'm already dropping it off for fresh Michelin tires and a full baseline service/spark plugs this week.
Since it's a blank canvas right now, what are the best mods I should look into first? Daily driving it in Arizona but I wfh and never yet been to a track with my own car.
A few things on my mind:
Audio: The factory base ASK audio is super muddy. I'm DIY'ing a Mr12Volt kit for CarPlay. What else works here? I don't care about storage space as this is the play car.
Exhaust: I love the idea of the soul system, and a big part of why I bought the 981 is for the sound but hard to drop $10k on it for a car I paid well under $30k for.
Headlights: Not sure I love the smoked out look, although I get what they're going for. Do modern gt4 headlights on a 981 fly?
Let me know what you guys have done to your 981s.
