Gaby Dimmock, Marcie O'Meara, Lauren Bowe and Teagan Scarlett announce their departures.

Gaby Dimmock, Marcie O'Meara, Lauren Bowe and Teagan Scarlett announce their departures.

U21 Captain Gaby Dimmock will be heading to Dartmouth College after the summer, leaving Arsenal after 11 seasons.

Marcie O'Meara leaves after 3 seasons at the club, with two dual registration periods under her belt with Watford and Real Bedford.

Lauren Bowe has also announced her departure - there was no dual registration for the Irish youngster this season, so I'll be interested to see where she ends up.

Teagan Scarlett departs after 7 seasons at the Arsenal, with her first Cymru senior call-up and debut under her belt.

Wishing all of our departing Academy players the best of luck in their next steps!

Loan Watch (W/C 4th May 2026)

There were no minutes for Rosa Kafaji as Brighton beat Liverpool to go through to the FA Cup Final; Rosa was also ineligible to play against us so saw no minutes this week. Brighton’s final league game of the season is at home against Tottenham on Saturday 16th May at 1pm.

Jenna Nighswonger was also ineligible to play against us this week so saw no minutes either. Villa’s final league game is away at LCL, with kickoff also at 1pm on Saturday 16th May.

Viv Lia played all 90 minutes of Hammarby’s resounding 0 – 3 win away at IK Uppsala on Wednesday. Hammarby have a double game week this week, away at Djurgårdens in the Damallsvenskan on Tuesday 12th May at 7pm CEST; they then host Europa Cup winners BK Hacken in the Svenska Cupen playoffs on Saturday 16th May at 3pm CEST.

Cecily Wellesley-Smith played another full 90 as FC Rosengård lost 2 – 1 away at Pitea. Rosengård are next in action at home against Kristianstad on Friday 15th May at 6:30pm CEST.

Niamh Peacock started for Portsmouth this weekend, in her final game with the Blues, coming off in the 82nd minute of a crushing 6 - 1 defeat to Crystal Palace. Congratulations to Niamh on becoming the first player on an ADR in the WSL2, and on a brilliant season at both Watford and Pompey.

Jessie Gale came on as a sub in the 68th minute of Bristol City’s final game of the season. Jessie picked up 8 goals in 22 WSL2 games this season, which is no mean feat - only 3 players have scored more. A brilliant first senior season for Jessie - definitely one to keep an eye on over the summer window (not that I think she’s leaving, but as to whether she goes back out on loan and to who).

Cecily Wellesley-Smith has absolutely cemented her place in FC Rosengård’s starting XI, picking up her 4th Damallsvenskan 90 minutes of the season. As one of our players who will play through the season (on full Damallsvenskan season loan to the end of the 2026 season), Cecily is next in action as FC Rosengård travel away to Piteå IF on Sunday 10th May at 12pm BST (1pm CEST).

Viv Lia’s next fixture with Hammarby will likely be their next Damallsvenskan fixture against IK Uppsala on Wednesday 6th May at 7pm CET, having just missed out on international clearance that meant she missed the chance for Hammarby to add her to their Europa Cup squad.

Rosa Kafaji started for Brighton as they held Manchester United to a draw, but came off in the 57th minute. Rosa will not be available against us (previously confirmed the day of our formerly scheduled match), so is likely to next be in action against Liverpool in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday 10th May at 12:15pm BST.

Jenna Nighswonger seems to have also cemented a starting spot for Aston Villa, picking up another 90 minutes for the Villains as they fell to defeat at the hands of West Ham. Villa are of course next in action against us, which means no minutes for Jenna, who should then be back in action against London City Lionesses on Saturday 16th May at 1pm BST.

Eva Gray and Hope McSheffrey lifted the FAWNL South trophy this weekend with Watford even after a resounding 2 - 4 defeat at home to Bournemouth. Eva started for the Golden Girls and came off in the 66th minute, whilst Hope remained an unused sub. Both players have done really well with Watford - congratulations to both of our youngsters who helped Watford gain promotion!

Sophia Leonard came off the bench in the 78th minute of Bournemouth’s win. Having actually not featured for too many games since her signing in January, it's good to see Sophia feature for a senior side who are pushing for that promotion spot.

Marcie O'Meara came off the bench in the 75th minute of Real Bedford’s 1 - 4 loss to Plymouth Argyle. It's been a mixed season for Marcie, who started the season on dual registration at Watford and was doing reasonably well with them, but switched in January to Real Bedford, whose results haven't been the highest quality and Marcie hasn't featured quite as much as she was with Watford. Teagan Scarlett didn't feature in the matchday squad at all - I'm not too sure if she's injured but not the best end to her season. Congratulations to both of our youngsters on their first senior football season.

Saskia Heard started for Hashtag United as they scraped a result that meant they will again be playing FAWNL South football next season.

Niamh Peacock started for Portsmouth this weekend, coming off in the 90th minute of a loss that sees Pompey relegated from the WSL2 with a game to go. Portsmouth’s last game of the season is away at Crystal Palace on Saturday 2nd May at 3pm BST.

Jessie Gale came on as a sub in the 77th minute of a crazy game for Bristol City, nettinf her 8th WSL2 goal of the season in the 98th minute. Gale scored the winner in a 2-1 win against Newcastle United. Bristol City’s final WSL2 game this season is away at Sheffield United on Saturday 2nd May at 3pm BST.

There was a full 90 for Cecily Wellesley-Smith straight off the back of the international break, picking up an assist as FC Rosengård travelled to IK Uppsala for a 1-1 draw. FC Rosengård are next in action on Saturday 2nd May, hosting Malmö FF at 1pm CEST.

Rosa Kafaji came off the bench in the 88th minute of Brighton’s 3-2 win against Manchester City, picking up just 9 minutes off the bench. Brighton have 3 games left in the WSL this season, with the next coming away against Manchester United on Saturday 2nd May at 12pm.

With her international clearance coming too late to be added to the Europa Cup squad list, Viv Lia’s next fixture with Hammarby will likely be their next Damallsvenskan fixture against IK Uppsala on Wednesday 6th May at 7pm CET.

Aston Villa (Jenna Nighswonger, loan) have had their game against us rescheduled so Jenna’s next fixture is likely to be that game against West Ham, who travel to Villa on Monday 4th May at 1pm BST (UK May Bank Holiday, as an explanation for those confused on the Monday midday clash).
