Interview

Hi everyone,

I’m a foreign-trained dentist from Brazil and I recently applied to several Advanced Standing programs through CAAPID. I’m trying to get a realistic idea of my chances of receiving interview invitations.

My profile:
Age: 26
GPA (ECE): 3.2
TOEFL: 100 (5.0 on the new scoring system) – first attempt
INBDE: Pass – first attempt
Dental school graduation: 2024
Currently working as a dental assistant in an endodontic practice for the past 1.5 years
Strong letters of recommendation from U.S. dentists and dental school faculty
Research experience and clinical experience from dental school

I know my GPA is not particularly high, but I have a relatively recent graduation date, passed both exams on the first attempt, and have been gaining U.S. dental experience.
For those who have gone through the process or served on admissions committees:
Do you think I have a realistic chance of receiving interviews?
Which parts of my application would be considered strengths?
Which areas might hold me back?

I appreciate any honest feedback. Thanks!
