Changes to Adding Amex Offers

Changes to Adding Amex Offers

Hi folks, after digging through a ton of logs and trying a lot of different things with my test logins in different regions, it looks like adding offers to multiple cards per login is working for only 10% of users since yesterday, vs 90% the preceding week. I've not yet been able to determine what's special about that 10% of users, and if there's a way to leverage that, but hopefully I can to maximize that existing feature.

To continue helping users to maximize their offers for that other 90%, I'm working on an update to the extension which will allow users to smart-add offers based on each cards' category bonuses (maximize points + cash savings/points bonuses based on the offer), as well as a mode to prioritize specific cards over others (eg, you're working on a welcome offer, so you might want to add offers to that specific card more than others), for when an offer isn't able to add to all cards. You'll also be able to rank your Amex cards in order of priority, all configurable inside the extension's settings.

I'll be sharing more in this thread once each update is live, though it will take a few more days of work to get that all going. Thanks for your understanding and patience, as the credit card game is always changing and evolving, and I'll continue to do everything I can to help you maximize your cards' benefits in every way possible.

Update 8/12/2026: The Chrome update, v7.5.1 is now live, with new options in Settings so you can try out the new modes. I'll be testing in Chrome for the next few days and then deploying to Firefox and Safari, so please let me know if any issues by emailing support@cardpointers.com with the details, thanks!

Chase Offers Change, Fix Incoming via Extension Update

Hi folks, it looks like Chase shipped a change on a Friday despite 100s of memes suggesting that's a bad idea...

There's a new endpoint for activating offers, implementing that now and will be live today in Chrome and Firefox, and I'm doing an expedited review with Apple for Safari on iPhone/iPad/Mac/Vision.

I'll keep this thread updated as each new update goes live.

CardPointers is Apple's App of the Day (and just added to their Editors' Choice list!)

Check out the Today tab in the App Store today -- what a way to finish off the week at WWDC! Excited to keep the momentum going all summer long, and work on another huge update: CardPointers 8 will be launching alongside iOS 27 in the Fall with some features you'd probably expect from the recent announcements, and a few big surprises, too.

Thank you so much to everyone who uses the app, it truly means the world to me.
