Who do I contact to help a homeless patient begin to start getting copies of their birth cert and ID? Patient is currently in an adjacent state. All of their docs have been stolen and they will need someone to help walk with them through the process, or at least get them started.

Alternatively, does anyone know how to replace a stolen Soc Sec benefits debit card? Can that be done without ID? Patient can't access their income because the debit card was also stolen.

My 15yo was dxed with SOA over a year ago. It took 9 months and two full in lab sleep studies to get a diagnosis and a CPAP recommendation. He has been attempting to utilize the machine since February. He requires a full face mask. He recognizes the benefits of it and understands he feels so much better when he wears it. However, he also has severe ADHD and sensory issues with sleep issues on top of that. He often falls asleep before putting the mask on, takes it off in the middle of the night without waking up, or wakes up in the middle of the night and can't stand feeling it on his face and so removes it. As a result, he has failed the compliance period and the company is requesting the machine back. We don't have the extra funds to pay for the machine out of pocket.

Has anyone ever had any luck with an appeal to lengthen or redo the compliance period? I have a call in to my insurance company and the DME company but I haven't heard back yet.

ETA: Just spoke with the insurance company and they are stating there is no compliance requirement for him and his machine usage. So I guess the next step is a conference call with both companies.

My 7yo boy Ziggy is on Apoquel 16mg because hes basically allergic to life, poor guy. He takes 1.5 tablets a day, and this med isn't cheap. We're paying $156/month through Chewy currently, and are needing to tighten up our budget a bit due to circumstances. Is anyone getting this med for cheaper elsewhere for a 45 count/30days?
